When You Wish upon an Empty Star
Wish presents a fundamentally materialist Marxist world.

Wish presents a fundamentally materialist Marxist world.

Materialism mesmerizes us, as it does Loki, because it’s a way to place ourselves at the center of our own little universe composed of people and products that exist to serve us.

Though Run the Jewels’ vision of a world that is not dominated by division and greed might be imperfect, it is a vision of hope.

Minimalism shows us that owning more stuff cannot satisfy, but the idea of minimalism by itself will not satisfy in the long term either.

Station 3: “Nightime has fallen at the Mcallister house, but it is not a silent one.”

Denying the appeal of the material world will not in and of itself bring a sense of balance.
“No matter what messaging floods the marketplace, no amount of access, fame, or world change will put our hearts at rest.”
