I think my favorite is Hansi: The Girl Who Loved the Swastika. Good ol’ Hansi. I wonder what she’s up to these days…
She’s still loving that Swastika. I actually remember all those (except for Hansi—which I’m now dying to read—and the last one—which looks like ’90s-era Image rip off). Man those comics all sucked.
Incidentally, I was buying the latest volume of Naruto off Amazon yesterday and the 9th top seller in Amazon’s manga section is The Manga Bible: Genesis to Revelation. You can see page samples on Random House’s page for it. The art doesn’t seem particularly mangalicious to me, but what do I know, eh?
I think Hansi’s probably hanging out with Dmitri: The Boy Who Loved the Sickle and Hammer.
From the Manga Bible pitch on the Random House page:
“The mysterious stranger who brought about a new world order
And the ultimate showdown between the forces of good and evil”
Oh. My.
Dane reads Naruto? Man, I’m learning so much about you. Last week it was your voice, this week I learn that you read Naruto.
I just glanced at the Manga Bible. I really want to know what the “wolves” are going to do.
*snort* Really, who doesn’t read Naruto?
As for the wolves, they are going to howl. They are going to howl big time.
