If I ever ask John Piper to sign my Bible, please rebuke me!

I have a Bible signed by Garfield the Cat. Fortunately, it’s not one I use much often.

Seriously? That sounds like an interesting story.

As I recall, former co-workers Brandon and Wendy Wason were out in California for a visit and had stopped by the office. Brandon had acquired for me a signed book by Chuck Palahniuk as a birthday/get-well gift. The inscription read:
We were thoroughly amused by the inscription and somehow got on the subject of people who get their Bible’s signed and the huge audacity of it. So, I believe the next step, naturally led to me signing one of Brandon’s Bibles with something terrible like “Stop sinning!! ♥Seth.” I can’t remember if Brandon knew I was doing it or just hoped against hope that I was instead signing co-worker Nathan’s Bible instead.
In any case, to be fair, I decided to sign mine as well. But I wouldn’t sign one to myself. That’s how people get caught in quantum loop paradoxes and I have never been one to mess with theoretical sciences. So, I acted as proxy for Garfield the Cat and I am now the proud owner of a Holman Christian Standard Bible signed by a fictional and not-very-funny cartoon cat.
The inscription may be read here.

Please note: the aforetold narrative may be apocryphal.

Apocryphal, of course. Everyone knows I don’t even own a Bible!
Well, i have one signed by Garfield the Cat that you could have. I think the story might have actually been about Nathan and Derick now that I think about it.
