ELSEWHERE: Is Human Cloning on Its Way?
Cloning is a process we’ve been able to do for many years with many species, including Dolly the sheep. However, the first step toward human cloning just occurred, where scientists caused a stem cell to return back into its embryonic state. Time Magazine reports. What will this mean for human ethics and our understanding of life? Only time will tell.

That article is deceptively worded, as have been many of the reports on this issue. Scientists are not “one step closer” to human cloning. What they’ve just done IS human cloning. The scientists created the embryos, then killed them to harvest their cells. Here is a better written article that makes it clearer what is really going on:

No, it’s not your bad! Many pro-lifers have innocently re-posted a lot of these misleading articles. It’s the press who should answer for this.
