At the opening of the Interactive Media Building at the University of Southern California, both  Stephen Spielberg and George Lucas predicted that Hollywood will have an “implosion” that may include less films, higher prices, and a rise in Cable/Online film-hosting. Hollywood Reporter has the scoop.

    I predict we’ll have smaller and more movies catered to smaller and more distinct audiences and without the conflicting motivations of good storytelling and fame to ruin productions.

    Artisan film-making will replace factory film-making.
