How Facebook Killed the Church. HT: Don’t Eat the Fruit

  1. I dunno. It kind of sounds like an underestimation of church history. In the 50s/60s the church was hemorrhaging its youth (hence the power of the Jesus People movement). Generation X left the church in droves as well (though many came back once they settled down). Trying to pin the current loss of youth to social networking seems fruitless and premature.

Incidentally, my interaction with Facebook friends is split pretty evenly between those I see once a week and those I see less than once a year. I have no Facebook interaction with those I see daily.
