The Danger of Living in the Facebook Generation

  1. Yes, much of Leviticus is not exciting, however, those last several chapters are amazing–God’s holiness and justice are on display in quite stunningly. There are large portions of Numbers that are pretty similar to the boring parts of Leviticus–i.e. the lists of the cheifs of the various tribes/families.

Anyway, the point of the article is that we seem to have plenty of time for the mundane and the frivolous (which I am not completely opposed to) and little time for the weighty things of the world–namely God.

  2. Oh, I definitely think there are plenty of rad things to be seen in both books. Neither, however, are exciting in the same way Genesis is. And of the two, Numbers is more accessible since though there are dull parts, those are punctuations (whereas in Leviticus the exciting parts are the punctuations and are only exciting because of what one might call prior knowledge—knowing that things things tie thematically into the coming messiah).
