It’s that time of the year again, where every blogger and their mother trots out their year-end lists of best or favorite music, movies, books, graphic novels, viral videos, greeting cards, dog toys, and whatnot. (And, of course, we here at CaPC are not immune.)

Indeed, there are so many year-end lists that sometimes, it can be rather daunting to figure out which lists to look at, or where to even begin looking. Well, fear no more. Here are year-end lists (and lists of lists) that will give you a leg up on finding those items from 2012 that you might’ve missed the first time around.

Amazon has posted their lists of the year’s 100 best albums, 100 best songs, and 100 “outstanding” albums that you might’ve missed.

Paste Magazine has been posting year-end lists for nearly everything under the sun, including the 50 best albums, 25 best music videos, and the 15 best live photos.

The AV Club’s writers have listed their favorite albums, which leads up to their final list of the year’s best music.

After casting nearly 1.2 million votes, the users of Goodreads have decided the best books of the year.

If you’ve got a lot of time on your hand, then The Largehearted Boy’s collection of year-end music lists will give you plenty of material for an afternoon (or three). (He also has a similar book-related list.)

It’s still several weeks until the end of the year, so we will undoubtedly see plenty of more year-end lists appearing in the coming weeks. And be sure to come back to CaPC on a regular basis, as we’ve got our own batch of year-end lists that we’ll be posting throughout the month of December.
